Kindergarten Rabbits

Kindergarten; July 9-13; Knights and Dragons: Encourage your little knight to explore the world of fantasy. He or she will hear stories of courage and honor while experiencing the thrill of making their own shield and cloak. Your child will thrive in the natural, outdoor world of adventure and exploration. Dragons will be present throughout the week. How about a week long game of hide and seek? Find the dragon, save the princess. We will sculpt, paint, and experience the wondrous world of knights and dragons.
Kindergarten; July 16-20; Earth and Sky, Where am I? This is the week of ME! We will discover ourselves and the world around us with games and activities that will challenge even the most adventurous child. Scavenger hunts, obstacle courses and movement journeys await your spirited adventurer. Come one, come all to explore the many sites around us every day!
Kindergarten; July 23-27; Fairies and Gnomes: Little people have all the fun! And your little one will have a blast this week. They will make a fairy of their very own and a house to keep her safe and warm. Kitchentime will include baking mini muffins and tiny treats for snack and for home. Your child will love to engage his/her imagination in this magical world of the fairy folk.
Kindergarten; July 30- Aug. 3; Wonderful World of Water (WOW): Bring your suit and lots of energy! We will experience all the joys of water play. Hoses and kiddy pools will dot our playground yard as your child explores the wonder of water. Activities will include water color painting and making your own water globe. We’ll say goodbye to summer with a splash! Ahoy!!!

Grades; July 9-13; Outdoor Galore: What better place than Alaska to learn how to brave the elements of nature? Your child will practice his or her survival skills in this week-long adventure of exploration. Daily walks to the local bog, as well as practical skills such as the art of knot tying, plant identification, and learning to construct outdoor shelters are only the beginning. Community building will round out their time together. Give the gift of knowledge to your child this week. Enroll your adventurer today.
Grades; July 16-27; Drama and Improv (must attend both weeks): For two weeks we will acquire the ability to perform in front of others as well as learn what life is like behind the stage. Making our own costumes, painting our scenes and rehearsing our lines are just the start. By the end of this camp your budding thespian will shine with an evening performance of art and theatre. Break a leg! Have the time of your life!
Grades; July 30-Aug. 3; Recipes and Remedies: Do you have a future chef in your midst, maybe a future chemist who likes to tinker in the kitchen? They will learn how to make homemade salve and lip balm, lotion and remedies. Enjoy the tempting aroma of freshly made soups and mouth-watering desserts under the expert guidance of local chef Jens Nanastadt, owner of Southside Bistro restaurant. Make your own cookbook as well. Bon Appétit!
