Parent-Toddler

Ages 18 months to 3 years old

13 week sessions (Fall and Spring Semesters)

If a child has been able to play, to give up his whole, loving being to the world around him, he will be able in the serious tasks of later life to devote himself with power and confidence to the service of the world.
-Rudolf Steiner

Lead by a trained Waldorf teacher the Parent-Toddler program is a nurturing, gentle transition from home life to school life. It also serves as a gentle introduction to Waldorf education as parents and their children play together and participate in activities such as baking bread, craft work, nursery rhymes, games and songs once a week. The facilitator supports parents on their parenting journey and is available for conversation and questions.

These sessions emphasize child observation and parent-child interaction in a supportive atmosphere that allows parents to learn about the Waldorf approach to early childhood while their children engage in creative play and artistic activities with the teacher, parents and each other.

Class fees include seasonal craft materials, snacks and information on child development. Graduates of the Parent-Toddler  are poised to join our Transitional program for ages 2 1/2  to 4.
