Admissions

A warm welcome from Anchorage Waldorf School!

We are celebrating 20 years of providing Waldorf education in Anchorage with programs for children in Parent-Tot, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and grades one through eight on our campus at 3250 Baxter Road.  For almost 100 years, Waldorf education has emphasized the skills and teaching strategies that are at the heart of “21st Century education”:  an interdisciplinary, multi-sensory, creative, and  holistic approach to education, with a focus on a challenging core academic program balanced with the arts, movement, service, outdoor education and a social curriculum.  In our classrooms, children are actively engaged in their learning.  They are exploring, making connections, and asking questions.

I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our philosophy and program.  In addition, I strongly believe that the best way to get a true feel for our program and community is to visit campus and meet with our teachers, parents, and administrators.  I encourage you to give us a call and we will schedule an individual appointment for you.

During the admissions process, we hope to help you discover the value of a Waldorf education and, in particular, Anchorage Waldorf School’s unique strengths as you evaluate educational options for your child.   All of the application forms and materials and a detailed guide to the enrollment process are located here in the Admissions section of the website.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need assistance with your application.

Again, thank you for your interest in Anchorage Waldorf School and for considering our School for the education of your child.  I look forward to meeting your family!
